WHAT IS OCABA: CARIBBEAN AND AMAZONIAN OBSERVATORY FOR BIOECONOMY<\/strong>
AND AGRICULTURE \u201c ?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Although small-scale biodiverse agriculture<\/strong> is the dominant model in the Caribbean\/Amazon area, it is paradoxically the least followed, documented and taken into account by public policies. In order to allow this component of our agrarian systems to benefit from public agricultural policies, the projectCambioNet aims to provide support to public actors and help adapt political tools but also to help beneficiaries adapt to the current system.<\/strong> <\/p>\n

The creation of the OCABA<\/strong> observatory was born from the ambition of the CambioNet project to provide the Caribbean\/Amazonian space with a specific instrument for monitoring, monitoring and evaluating the bioeconomic transition. This Observatory aims to become a key instrument serving agricultural public policies<\/strong>
of the Caribbean-Amazon region.<\/strong> It will provide support to various strategic programs, such as the… SRDEII<\/strong> “Regional Economic Development, Innovation, and Internationalization Scheme) in the French Overseas Departments of America, the…” program FAST<\/strong> \u00ab Food and Agricultural System Transformation \u00bb within the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States …OECO<\/a>), initiatives of the CARICOM<\/a> in terms of food sovereignty, adaptation to climate change, and sustainable development, as well as existing plans in the Greater Antilles, including Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, and the Guiana Shield.<\/p>\n
