GUYANA’S ECONOMY AND BIODIVERSITY MEETINGS IN CAYENNE
March 28 and 29, 2023
Organized by the French Biodiversity Office and the Guyana Rural Network, the Guyana Economy and Biodiversity Meetings aim to bring together local stakeholders around the themes of ecotourism and sustainable food. The main objectives of this event are:
to raise awareness among stakeholders of the intrinsic potential of biodiversity;
to connect project leaders with each other and with support organizations (technical, administrative, financial, etc.) by defining common objectives and working tools;
to stimulate momentum on a few priority projects by highlighting the needs in terms of support for project leaders, support and networking;
Economic players, entrepreneurs, institutions, communities, local elected officials, associative structures, education and training establishments, project leaders, students are invited to mobilize to discuss their practices and their expectations.
Holding conferences, workshops and other times of exchange will help lay the foundations for sustainable economic development in Guyana.
